20-12 My First Five Days

                                    January 1,2012
Photo was actually taken on January 5, 2012. But this is where Jim and I were on Jan. 1, 2010. We were in our recliners covered and cozy watching TV.

We visited Gwen early on Jan 2. This pic of Aubrey and Bekah was taken shortly after they woke up.

This little Tufted Titmouse was using the leg support bars on our patio table to crack open the sunflower seeds I had put in the bird feeder.

I found this old mason jar in a trunk that belonged to Jim's grandmother. The scrap of paper had Louise Cowman written on it. Grandma had good intentions. She evidently intended to give the jar back to its rightful owner. Sorry Louise.

I'm a little late getting photos posted for the 20-12 project.

Mornings

This morning began as nothing out of the ordinary. I woke up a little before 5:00 AM. Jim had my coffee fixed. (That's a morning ritual that I have lovingly grown accustomed to.) We talked a little before he left for work, then it was the usual "going to work" kiss at the door. "Have a good day", "Be careful" and "I love you" was said as he walked toward the car repeating similar phrases to me.
I miss the morning routine with him when he isn't here. Very few times in our nearly 14 years of marriage has he not been with me in the morning. Occasional fishing or hunting trips, and three overnight stays in the hospital are the only times Jim was not here with me when I woke up. That is good. It makes me smile.

My First Blog Entry Ever!

Today I am joining the millions of other people who blog. I have no idea what I will be adding in the future but we will all find out as I go. It always seemed to be so easy to scratch my thoughts and feelings  on paper, but I find writing on the computer to be a lot more challenging. I guess it's just what I'm used to; or maybe I like the feeling of the pen or pencil in my hand as it drags my thoughts along a piece of paper. Possibly it's the tactile aspect of my creative "facets". Who Knows?
